My name is Matthew David Raver, and I own and operate East Bay Electrician Services. I have 25+ years of electrical experience, with extensive work in older homes diagnosing problems, upgrading panels, and bringing aging systems into compliance. When I started this business in 2017, I had one simple goal: provide honest, owner-present electrical service that removes uncertainty for homeowners.

When work is being done in your home, I'm there handling the technical judgment and taking responsibility for the outcome.

I work with a small, consistent team. Both Tyler and Carl perform panel work and skilled electrical tasks. They work under my direction and supervision, and they do not operate independently. Tyler has 12+ years of experience specializing in panel upgrades, service installations, and troubleshooting older electrical systems. He's worked extensively on older East Bay homes and brings valuable insight when evaluating panels and planning replacements.

Carl

Journeyman Electrician

Carl brings 10+ years of field experience to every project, with a focus on precision wiring, code compliance, and completing installations efficiently. He's skilled at diagnosing outlet failures and figuring out why certain breakers keep tripping.

Matt has completed comprehensive certification through Enphase University covering design, installation, and commissioning of microinverters and IQ Battery storage systems. Matt is a factory-certified technician trained in installation, service, and maintenance of Kohler residential and industrial standby generators and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS). Certification covers RDC2 controller operations, RXT transfer switch setup, routine maintenance procedures, and compliance with UL-2200, CSA, and EPA standards.

PG&E IT&S Card

Matt holds an active credential confirming completion of PG&E's Safety, Quality, and Conduct Assessment (SQCA) through the Industrial Training Services (ITS) platform. Required for contractors working directly on PG&E service upgrades, including trenching, conduit installation, and coordination with utility facilities.
